Engineer^3: IEEE Midyear Event

In compliance with the BA’s mission in updating youth with the latest technologies available, ISIS has supported the Mid Year event of the IEEE Alexandria Students Branch (www.alexsb.org). The event was well attended by about 200 students affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, who were highly interactive with the organized sessions at the seminar.

The seminar involved three lectures starting with Dr. Noha Adly, Professor in the Computer Science Department, faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, who delivered a lecture titled “History of Computers and Communications and their future”. She talked about the evolution of communication and computers throughout the years, and the efforts, contributions, and inventions of the figures who have literary changed the world. Dr Adly’s lecture was followed by a technical session presented by Engineer Hesham Salah titled “Basic Software Development In Automotive Industry”. The session discussed three main points: future vehicle technologies, AutoSar standards, and basic software in automotives. However, this seminar was not all technical, for Mr. Yousry El Ghitany, CEO of Entrepreneurs Business Forum, has participated with an overview about “Entrepreneurship in Business”. He has tackled the aspects and conditions that contribute in creating a successful entrepreneurship.

As successful as this event has been, ISIS is looking forward to further collaborations with the active members of the IEEE Alexandria Students Branch team.
